30 Day Challenge- Writing a Blog Post – Day 2

Day 2 for Writing a Blog Post Challenge. A Back Slide. and Recover

Friends, this is one important post from me. Something that I’ve been struggling with since the day I caught myself making gazillions of these.

There came a time when enough is enough. Jennifer can’t take anymore of Eric’s constant dodging of responsibility.

Last Thursday, he was supposed to clean out his “workshop” of some sort but said he had to be with the boys, they were 2 weeks delayed from their usual *BNO. This Sunday, was supposed to be time for them to visit their parents but he had to cancel because he was cramming for papers and presentation due Monday. He got to finish the presentation, but when he got home, he couldn’t stop whining and cursing at how the project presentation was a short notice (2 months short notice).

There were many more of Eric’s amazing stories of how he wasn’t able to do finish something because something came up, how he wasn’t able to do his best because there just isn’t enough time. Because of this, or that, the place was too far, it was raining, it was too hot.

One day, Jennifer asked Eric if they could go out to talk. Then he immediately said he had someplace to go too, but she insisted. “We have to talk” she said.

When they got to the restaurant, she laid it out all. He was not doing very well in the company, she heard that he was going to get cut because he was ┬ánot living up to the expectations of his managers. He was getting cranky at the kids and he was not even talking with his parents anymore (which he usually did before) and he was not even helping out in the house. Eric also had something to say to all these, that he was too busy, that he had “better” things to do, that he’ll make up for it.

After dinner, Jennifer told Eric, “I’ll take the kids to Mama’s house for a couple of weeks”, take time to think of where you are at, now and where you are heading. Please remember that you have a family to support”. Then she continued after sipping wine, “if you can’t even support or manage yourself, how can you even take care of your own family?”. She left Eric a folded bond paper.

It was from his children.

“Dad, we miss you! We don’t get to talk to you often, you are so busy going out with your friends, going out of town for work. We want to be with you. Let’s cook and have a picnic again. Let’s go to the beach, Mommy will love that too. We hope you’ll get what you are aiming for and we know you can do it!

We LOVE you so much!”

Friend, catch yourself making excuse, because when you do, it’s sure that you’re running away from something or towards a project that you forgot to do. You are definitely procrastinating, dodging responsibilities that should have been done weeks ago.

If you catch yourself making excuses, it’s sure that you’ve neglected so much in your life already. It will surely be the most important ingredients of your life. Family. Friends. Career. Finances. Health. Yourself. God.

Catch yourself making excuses, and kick it out of your life. Because if you don’t, excuses will consume everything that you care about, the important parts of your life.

RUN for GOLD: On Daily TTDs

Yesterday was a no-post for me. But it was great, did a lot of things for the clinic with Jepi. Good job day because we accomplished so many tasks. Thanks to our handy dandy goal list. It is so much easier when you have a blue print for your day.

I’ve always listened to Brian Tracy and Zig Ziglar talk about setting goals everyday. Even more so about setting goals for the long term, for 10 years, 5 years, a year, several months, weeks, days – you get the idea. Even for the next hour or couple of minutes.

The important thing about goal setting that I have to highlight is the importance of TIME and how we can spend so much time that may cost us, not just money, but even our health, our relationships and ourselves.

So I’d also like to share how important daily goal setting is, and how it will literally change your live, day in and day out.

Your assignment for today (this is me talking to myself)!

1. Make your goal list for today – last night!

(What?! That’s right, make your TTDs for today, yesterday, last night or even last week – that’ll be better!)

2. Say “No!” – if it’s not completely necessary to do that task, and it has no major impact on your life and the completion of your goals for work or business – DO NOT, by all means, DO those things.

3. Be CONSISTENT! This is a word that continues to bug me each and every day. CONSISTENCY! Sticking to the game plan!

-having fun advising other people on how to use the products better, how to make the most of their time when presenting the company to other people (powerful products make for powerful testimonials and marketing).

-Turning a new leaf, changing Anthony little by little.

A lot of people voice out their concern about how the world don’t change for the better, without realizing that they can’t change the world, without changing themselves FIRST.

Till my next post! Stay tuned!

In all things, persevere!

Doors of Life

In life, there are doors of opportunities, doors of self-discovery, doors of forgiveness, doors of achievement and doors of success that you will seek.

And it will be up to you if you want to open a door and close another.

This “doors of life” perspective does not apply to me only (the world does not revolve around me, i know that much), but to each and every one of us. Particularly to those people who would like to think that every opportunity is a door towards a new world, an exciting change or a place of peace.

Why not think that the world, YOUR world, is made up of millions of doors waiting to be opened. I’m not saying all the doors lead to a positive outcome. But let’s face, you have to open a lot of wrong doors before you’re able to discern (psychic?!) or see if the next door you will open will be a life changing door for you (taking a peek wouldn’t hurt, would it?).

Watch out for the doors in MY life that I’ll tell you more of with my next posts.

P.S. I was not going to add this but I thought, wth. I said there are a million doors or even more in your life waiting to be opened, right? But I just realized that the beauty of the “doors of your life” perspective is that if you are with extreme and awesome company, of friends, of family and of love, actually multiplies the doors (exponentially! wow!) you are able to open. The lesson from this P.S.

There are sure a lot of doors to be opened. So start doing just that. Open the doors of life. Let me know which ones you opened recently.

Questions you can ask yourself. Everyday.

WHAT is the Most Valuable Use of My Time right NOW?

This is a question I ask myself, each and every day.

I thank God for every day that I can ask myself this question. I thank the Universe that I am able to put into action the answers I think of.
